Corporate Wellness
When I left my corporate career to pursue teaching yoga full time, bringing yoga to the workplace was an immediate focus. I understand the pressures and time constraints in the workplace today and realize how challenging it is to bring a balanced focus to your work, family and yourself! By taking an hour out of your week to begin a yoga practice, you are taking an important step toward balance. Offering an hour or two a week to your employees to slow down and practice yoga will lead to many hours of increased efficiency and contentment at work. Consistent feedback that I receive from my workplace groups is that they look forward to yoga the most on their busiest weeks. It refocuses their minds on what's most important and recharges them to complete the tasks ahead.
The purpose of yoga is to calm the distractions of the mind. The postures are tools to bring the mind and body into balance by concentrating with single pointed focus. When I start with a new group, we start by learning the most important basics so no prior yoga experience is necessary. I have worked with many companies throughout the Seattle area, such as Amgen, Kotis Design, Callison, IDRI and Unigen. Please contact me with any questions about starting a corporate yoga program at your business. References from previous clients are available.

Yoga for Athletes
An essential element of athletic performance is muscular balance. A mindful, alignment based yoga practice uncovers where the body can benefit from increased mobilization, as well as improved stabilization of the joints and muscle groups. In these sessions, we work to improve this balance as I introduce movement techniques and patterns catered to your needs. Personalized sequencing and keen attention to healthy alignment, as well as self myofascial release techniques to affect deep layers of the muscles and tissues, are a few tools I use to help the student find maximum athletic strength balanced with ease and comfort.
These sessions aid in improving athletic performance and preventing injuries while also supporting relaxation, visualization and skill in concentration. Sessions are offered in Private or Group settings. Please contact me with questions about your specific needs or how to get started.
